I'm so pleased at the progress in our garden over the past five months. We constructed beds and filled them with soil, started seedlings and planted the beds. We watered and weeded. And waited! It was certainly worth it! We have some lovely cabbages and a bumper crop of tomatoes! We've had a few squash, too. All the classes have been enjoying the tasty vegetables for snack time this month. Colder nights are coming, however, and frost will be here soon. We hope to have ripe grapes before that happens! Gardening in Maine is a race with impending winter. So far we are winning!
